About This Novel

With the Battle of Munda over, the last barriers standing in front of the US military are Bougainville and Rabaul. In order to break through this pair of obstacles, the US military successively mobilized the 3rd Marine Division, the Army's 37th Infantry Division and the "American" Division, and captured Cape Torokina in Bougainville, establishing a good springboard for the attack on Rabaul. In order to counterattack, the Japanese army concentrated the 6th Division to conduct two decisive general attacks, but both failed. The result of the battle established the dominance of the US military in the South Pacific and announced that the Bismarck Barrier was not far away.
