About This Novel
The story of this book takes place on a hot summer day during the Republic of China. Chen Junren, a young talent from Peking, came to Nanjing to visit his fiancée Zhu Xuefu. Zhu Junren couldn't stand the hot weather in Nanjing, so he invited Zhu Xuefu to go to Mount Lushan to escape the summer heat. On the way, she met barrister Fang Mengxu. Because Chen Tan fell in love with the outstanding appearance and calm temperament of Mr. Fang's niece Fang Jingyi, she invited them to go to Lushan together. However, Zhu Xuefu vaguely noticed Chen Junren's admiration for Fang Jingyi. On Lushan Mountain, Zhu Xuefu was jealous and often quarreled fiercely with Chen Junren. Chen Junren couldn't stand Zhu Xuefu, so he hurried down the mountain and left without saying goodbye. However, the love affair between the three people, which was constantly being resolved and messed up, continued.
