Women Should Do Something
About This Novel
My mother was the first female official personally appointed by the Holy Emperor, but she was forcibly taken into the house by the prince of the Hou family. My mother felt resentful for losing her hard-earned official position, and she had not been very fond of me since she was a child. One day, the emperor issued a decree that he would make me the Princess of Showa and marry me to the frontier fortress. I was terrified, but my father was busy thanking me and accepting orders, without caring about my life or death. Only my mother, who had always treated me coldly, was holding a sharp sword and slashed at the imperial edict with cold eyes. The emperor was furious and threw his mother into prison. On the day I got married, my mother died tragically. When I heard about this, my liver and gallbladder were split apart, and my eyes turned black. When I opened my eyes again, I went back to the year when my mother and I were born.
