About This Novel

A common explanation is that divination is an occult activity that uses supernatural methods to explore things. But no one knows exactly when this occult activity originated. Maybe when human ancestors were practicing slash-and-burn cultivation, they knew how to predict whether they could catch prey today through the cracks in stones. But there is no doubt that divination has a long history. In ancient Chinese, the word divination refers to yarrow. What is yarrow? Although it is difficult to read the word, it is actually the scientific name of the common sawgrass, and yarrow is made from the stems of this grass. Divination refers to tortoise divination. The turtle shell is burned with fire and the shape of the cracks appears to predict good and bad luck. The pseudo-oracle bone inscriptions of the Yin Ruins are direct archaeological evidence of the existence of tortoise divination. Of course, in ancient China, there were more than just these two divination methods. You could also use the Zhouyi and the Plum Blossom Book of Changes to set up hexagrams for divination, and you could also get some small animals-chickens and birds-for calculations.
