After the founding of New China, Lao He moved his family from Jiangdu, Yangzhou, to Anhui to support socialist construction, and took root on the banks of the Huaihe River. As a foreigner, Lao He longed to have a son to help him establish a family. Who would have thought that in twenty years, he would have six daughters and eventually pass away in a car accident. The He family's "son dream" has never been realized. The old lady of the He family, her daughter-in-law Liu Meixin, and her six granddaughters ushered in the era of women heading the family. Over the past sixty years, the six sisters of the He family have gone through ups and downs, witnessed innocence, suffered great changes, and guarded the beauty.
