Haddon and Heathcliff had similar experiences, one was full of hatred, the other knew how to tolerate. The tolerant Hatton let go of hatred in his heart and finally gained happiness. Heathcliff, although he has won his rights, is lonely deep down. Only death is his relief.
Afterthoughts
Loving and being loved, comedy and tragedy, all depend on a moment of choice. Catherine married Lin Dun, but spent her whole life missing Heathcliff. Heathcliff married Lin Dun's sister, but spent his whole life missing Catherine. The real tragedy of the story is - I chose the person I don't love just to love you more, the wrong concept of love. In fact, to put it bluntly, in the world view of pure love, subtle things are more dominant.
Haven't I "already arrived at my own home? Why did I ask my housekeeper about Wuthering Heights? Shouldn't he be a local himself? What on earth is Thrushcross Grange?" Chapter 6 (1) Who can answer me, thank you
I thought I was too hasty and hasty, so I ignored the death of Hatton's father. It turned out that the author deliberately didn't mention it in the book.
In a mere thirty years of life, he lived such a restrained and rigorous life! Emily will live forever
Emily Bronte, you wrote the words of a worldly old man who has insight into the world with a girlish pen, just like a kind grandmother singing a distant ballad. That love shook me like a sharp blade countless times. Your justice, purity, and beauty balance the filth, insidiousness, and cruelty of this world at the other end of my scale. You will remain unmarried and alone for the rest of your life, and I and those who come after you will be your eternal lovers like the everlasting heather in the ever-whistling cold wind on the wild plains!
Heathcliff, who has a mixture of love and hate, is both admirable and disgusting. His view of love is admirable. He can give up everything for love, and he can disregard everything. But due to the pressure of reality, he and Catherine failed to get what they wanted, and revenge became his final goal! In the end, the ending was good, the descendants were happily together, and he and Catherine were reunited in heaven.
It is said that the name of Wuthering Heights comes from the fact that the big trees on the estate whistle when the wind blows... Is it such a careless naming?

Classics should be respected and indispensable on bookshelves.
I read this book when I was a sophomore in high school. I liked the aloofness and enthusiasm of the hero and heroine, who were as tough as weeds.
