About This Novel
The ghost tribe's major general resents the sky. He was born in the wilderness but loves art. He is forced to get involved in the war with the heaven tribe. After being defeated and captured, his desire to die was persuaded by his old friend Zhiyu with the "art of living", and he found warmth and affection in the benevolent medical skills of Yimo, a medical girl from the Tian clan, who "sculpted life". However, when he returns to his homeland with a glimmer of light in his heart, what awaits him is not redemption, but the cold noose of the tribe in the name of honor. The core of the story lies in a poignant final scene: in front of the deserted ghost grave, he turned his last soul power into a Zhuang Zhou-style philosophical symbol, completing the ultimate sacrifice and mockery of false honor in the most artistic gesture. This is an elegy sung to idealists. It explores the moral dilemma of how individual life, love and beauty are squeezed and broken under the current of the times and the righteousness of the ethnic group, but at the same time reflects the eternal light in the brokenness.
