Aroma and Dust
About This Novel
In an attic in a dirty alley, lives a woman named Chanel. She always exudes the fragrance of roses, but like roses, she is beautiful and piercing. Her paintings are full of soul, but she is looked down upon by the world because of her humble origins. She longed to use art to break the shackles of fate, but she was trapped in poverty and disease and withered day by day. One day, a mysterious man knocked on her door. He is William, the owner of the largest gallery in the city. He appreciated her talent and promised to hold a solo exhibition for her to help her escape from this dirty attic. However, his appearance was no accident. Chanel gradually discovered that William was inextricably linked to her past - that rainy night, her mother's warning, and the withered rose. Between art and revenge, Chanel must make a choice. On her canvases, roses bloom and wither, and their fragrance is pervasive but pungent. Is her fate to break free from the shackles or fall into deeper despair? This is a story about art, betrayal and redemption, as well as an elegy for a rose that blooms and withers in the dust.
