The book contains a total of more than 100 poetry works created by the author from 2018 to 2020. According to the content and emotional type of poetry, all poems are divided into five major sections. The first part is "Beautiful Nostalgia", which contains 24 poems. The author has written many poems about his hometown. These poems describe the nostalgia and rhyme of the hometown, the countryside, the scenery, and the nostalgia. The soul of the hometown is injected into the poetry, which is ethereal yet real. Every bit of life is deeply immersed in poetry, and each article is full of emotions and insights. The third part, "Aspirations to Fight the Epidemic", contains 15 poems. The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 at the beginning of the year has deeply marked everyone's life. In this set of poems, the author praises the great anti-epidemic spirit, records the firm footsteps of the most beautiful retrogressors, and sings the excitement of the turning point. The fourth part, "Eternal and Everlasting", contains 24 poems. This part records the deep and mellow friendship with relatives and friends that is more fragrant than flowers, taller than trees, and more beautiful than wine. The fifth part, "Peninsula Meditations", contains 23 poems. The "peninsula" here is the Yuzhong Peninsula in Chongqing where the author lives. Here, the author's mind collides with the world, dialogues and exchanges with static flowers and trees, and dynamic social life, expressing emotions or philosophizing, trying to draw the boundaries of the author's beauty and decipher the mysteries of life. An innovative feature of the book is that each poem is accompanied by an essay-style essay. Prose records the exchanges and collisions about poetry between oneself and relatives and friends. In a certain sense, it is an innovation and is conducive to deepening the understanding of poetry. As poetry critic Lu Jin commented, "Freshness, cleanness, and rationality are the three eye-catching features of this collection of poems." Compared with the general new poetry nowadays, it is fresh, clean, not pretentious, not artificial, not poetry for poetry's sake, and not distorted for innovation. Only such poetry is good poetry.
