About This Novel
This book is an autobiographical novel about Xihaigu women who find a way out of life through immigration and self-reliance. This book uses the personal experience of the author Ma Huijuan as the main clue, telling her personal experiences, hearing and seeing from her birth, schooling, farm work, immigration to Hongsibao, working to earn money, literary creation, until she was elected as a representative of the National People's Congress. It uses the artistic writing and expression skills of novels to fictionalize, imagine and process, and tells the story of the poor farmers in Xihaigu who achieved poverty alleviation and prosperity through self-reliance under the party and the country's policies of ecological migration, poverty alleviation and enrichment. The book aims to show the struggle of the Communist Party of China in leading the broad masses of the people to decisively defeat poverty, comprehensively promote rural revitalization, and build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. It is a portrait and biography of the times. This book was selected into the "Excellent Online Literature Publishing Project with Realistic and Historical Themes" by the National Press and Publication Administration in 2021, and was selected as "2022 Chinese Good Books".
