Don't write a book if you don't tell the truth. It's a waste of readers' time.
One moment they are said to be twins, the other moment they are both sons. One moment it was said that the bad guy who called the police was handed over to the police, and the next moment the bad guy disappeared in the manor. There is no logic at all, and the preface does not match the follow-up.
