About This Novel
This book is a collection of the results of the 2005-2006 research project of the Institute of Oriental Culture at Gakushuin University in Japan, "The Understanding of 'China' by Modern Chinese Intellectuals." This book is different from the study of new methodologies in the history of modern Chinese thought, but is dedicated to the basic research of each text. The main content analyzes the status of the academic research of Zhu Guangqian, Gu Hongming, Hu Shi, Liang Qichao, Song Pingzi, Zhao Zhengping, Zhang Junmai and others in the development of modern Chinese intellectual history, as well as their need to both adapt to and change the environment in a given environment, and their contribution and influence on the ideological trends of modern Chinese society under the influence of multiple gravity.
