The book explains the different conditions for the formation of nations and nation-states in Eastern Europe and Western Europe respectively, and analyzes the various reasons for their cohesiveness and centrifugal force. This can provide some reference for my country's ethnic work. There are also several articles that compare the national process in Europe and the national process in China, thereby demonstrating that under different conditions, the "differences" between nations and the "commonalities" between nations have dual characteristics that may cause conflicts between nations, or may also promote the aggregation of nations. This will not only deepen the understanding of European history and reality, but also help understand the reasons why the Chinese nation, a multi-ethnic community, formed and exists for a long time.
