From a historical and realistic perspective, Chinese Indonesians are not only the backbone of local economic and social development, but also the builders and promoters of prosperous local culture, especially the flourishing of folk belief culture. It can be said that Indonesian Chinese folk belief culture penetrates into the lives of the public and is an important part of local Chinese culture. This book consists of four parts. The first part explores the types and origins of Indonesian Chinese folk beliefs, mainly analyzing the belief in group guardian gods, population protection gods, personal destiny gods and comprehensive gods. The second part explores the distribution and characteristics of temples in Indonesian Chinese folk beliefs, mainly analyzing the temple distribution of temples worshiped by the Chinese community as a whole, the distribution of temples worshiped by Chinese communities or regional gods, and the worship of some social groups. The distribution of temples in Indonesia is analyzed; the third part is to explore the cultural system of Indonesian Chinese folk beliefs, mainly from the symbolic system of Chinese folk beliefs, folk belief rituals and temple cultural systems; the fourth part is to explore the inheritance and innovation of Indonesian Chinese folk belief culture, mainly from the Indonesian Chinese worship tradition of "original gods" and the path and performance of creating "localized gods".
