About This Novel

The history of the transformation periods of civilizations in the ancient world is an important issue of concern to historians. This topic discusses the historical phenomena of several transformation periods such as ancient Greece and Rome from different perspectives to further deepen the understanding of the laws and characteristics of historical development. This paper analyzes the difficulties and trends faced by Greek city-states in their transformation into the imperial era, and points out that Greek city-states in crisis do not have the conditions and motivation to establish an empire like Rome at the end of the Republic. Yang Gongle analyzed the role of economic factors in the transformation of Rome from a republic to a head of state, and pointed out the close relationship between the change of political system and economic development. Liu Linhai analyzed the concept of "Eternal Rome" in the late Roman Empire and pointed out that although the concept of "Eternal Rome" did not disappear with the decline of Rome, it was even strengthened.
