Sea of no Return
by Salmon That Loves Migration
About This Novel
If you are destined to follow a certain path, does rejecting it count as a kind of courage? The meaning of life, is to complete reincarnation or to break free from instinct? In the place where cold currents and ocean currents meet in the North Pacific, Salmon Lan has traveled the ocean with his brother "Reef" since he was a child, growing from an ignorant young fish to an independent hunter. However, this vast sea has never been gentle. Human fishing nets, natural enemies in the deep sea, conflicts of racial beliefs, and even fate itself are all pushing him step by step to the point of no return. Lan once witnessed his companions being buried in a net in the bay, glimpsed a miracle in the deep sea in the land of bone whales, and was forced to make a choice between rescue and betrayal in the blood-tide night. He escaped the kiss of the giant whale and refused the call of the returnees, but was seriously injured in the night of the dead tide and entered a desperate situation in the backwaters. This is a fantasy fable novel with the marine ecology as the stage and the main line of growth and struggle with fate. Behind every surging wave is the instinct and belief choice of the ethnic group; every drop of salty blood is soaked in the contradiction between "freedom" and "return".
