About This Novel
I gave up my acceptance letter from Harvard University for Su Wan, but she coldly refused when my mother was critically ill. She asked the security guards to drag me out of the engagement party as I was begging for money, and chose Huo Jingchen, the second-generation rich man. "Lin Shen, do you really think I would give up Huo Jingchen for a poor guy like you?" Su Wan was wearing a million-dollar wedding dress, her voice full of ridicule. "Lin Shen, those are all children's games. I'm getting married now. It's time for you to let go." She stood on the stage, her voice as cold as ice. "Let go?" I took out the Harvard admission notice, "I gave up this for you!" Huo Jingchen tore up the notice: "Just this piece of paper? Is a poor boy worthy of competing with me for a woman?" Su Wan took out the banknotes and threw them at my feet: "Take this money and get away, don't let me see you again!" The whole audience burst into laughter, and I was treated as a joke.
