About This Novel

Parents are stars, always guarding their home, waiting for their children to return; friends are planets, sometimes coming and sometimes going; people who pass by in life and may never meet again in this life are shooting stars... This book is a collection of Sanmao's speeches, and also includes two of her storytellers and three interviews, showing a different life besides the "Sanmao" that readers are familiar with. She gave more than 100 speeches in Taiwan, speaking directly to readers, audiences, and reporters about her love with Jose, her experiences of traveling around the world, and her understanding of writing itself, which received a huge response. Because of his frequent speeches, Sanmao met many strangers he passed by in life. These people who may never meet again are like meteors. As long as you have the eyes of your heart and the appreciation of loving the world and loving mankind, you can meet meteor showers every moment.

Maybe Sanmao is getting older and has changed more than I expected.

Sanmao, Sanmao, have you experienced too much, have you changed? But deep down, you are still the happy and kind-hearted girl. My eldest sister, your life is like a rainbow, blending into the years, turning into grass, scattered in the world, transcending everything.

This book is named Meteor Shower, which means colorful but fleeting. It narrates many past events. It is a retrospective prose written by San Mao after he returned to Taiwan, and it can easily evoke nostalgia. Aren't my youthful years passing by like a meteor shower?

unintentional attraction

I remember the first time I read Sanmao's article was when I was bored and flipping through papers for reading comprehension. I first saw the pen name under the title. I thought at the time that this must be a very interesting author with a childlike innocence. After reading the article, I felt that although it was just a small thing in life, it meant a truth. I often ignore the ordinary details in life, so my head is empty every time I write an article. After that, I was attracted by Sanmao's article and loved every story of hers.
