Some people say that we should be grateful for all the hardships of fate, but I never think so. The meaning of life lies in the pursuit of a beautiful self, rather than suffering from pain. No pain is inherently something we should bear. Pain can only increase the weight of life. I am never grateful. On the contrary, I am grateful for the self that constantly overcomes pain and endures hardships. That self is brave and fearless. Just like I never thought about how outstanding and dazzling I would be, I just hope that, a hundred years later, if someone passes by my tombstone, she will say. . . . .
A pretty good book
I think this is a very heavy book, which really maximizes the ugliness of human nature. It's like the character Ye Chongyang was born and destined to be miserable. He finally dared to love, but in the end, he was brought back to his original shape through twists and turns, as if fate had made a joke. Fortunately, the final ending is still good. I have heard a saying before that all novels come from the fact that life is higher than life. Maybe some people really have no worries about food and clothing throughout their lives, and some people will be swallowed up by life to the point of being left intact. It's really ironic but so true.
The writing of the work is smooth, but the storyline is too depressing,
