About This Novel

There is a saying in Christianity: "Evil is the absence of good, just as darkness is the absence of light." When I was young, I saw this and thought it made sense. It wasn't until I was in junior high school that I looked at the animal world and discovered that different animals have different understandings of darkness. Some animals like to come out to look for food at night because their eyes can see more clearly at night than during the day. Thinking about it this way, everyone's understanding of darkness is different. When I think about the sentence "evil is the absence of good", I feel something is wrong. The absence of good can be indifference, contempt, helplessness, or any emotion. Why does it have to be "evil"? Therefore, I wanted to give "goodness" a break and see what the opposites of "goodness" are, so I wrote a story like this.
