Orange Countdown

I was at a campground not far off Interstate 5 when the orange countdown came on. It was very windy that day, so I smoked with one hand and pressed my lake blue dress with the other hand. I blew out a smoke ring into the sky, then looked up and watched the smoke ring being quickly blown away by the wind. Through the traces of smoke that were about to dissipate, I suddenly discovered that there was a bright and pleasing orange in the dark night sky. Looking carefully, it was a long series of numbers. I counted nine digits, and every second or so, the last digit would be subtracted by one.
