This dictionary collects, categorizes and briefly describes the place names contained in the revised version of "Historical Records". The book contains 2,752 entries on place names and clan terms, totaling about 500,000 words. The collected entries sort out the historical changes of place names and clan names, and compare them with current place names. Each entry is merged and classified. A total of ten major categories and 49 subcategories are combined (excluding two entries that cannot be classified). They are arranged in the order of strokes. The phonetic sequence and classification index are attached at the back of the book to facilitate readers' inspection. It is an indispensable reference book for historical geographical research and "Historical Records" research. It is also a cultural popularization reference book that facilitates readers to trace the origins of historical place names.
