Based on a complete understanding and study of Western theories (including mainstream theories and non-mainstream theories), and on the basis of learning from and digesting the beneficial elements, this book gives a detailed introduction to the subject nature, theoretical structure and basic characteristics of geopolitics. This book also studies the geopolitical status and strategic choices of China as a major geopolitical power, and proposes that although China is divided into two geopolitically, it must merge into one in terms of strategic choices, taking into account both sea and land, connecting the two major zones of "heart and edge", and balancing the east and west directions. These new perspectives provide a frame of reference worthy of attention for national decision-making and diplomatic strategic choices.
