The former studies the cultural landscape of an island or the entire archipelago in Zhoushan Islands, and arranges four chapters, namely, the Buddhist cultural landscape of Putuo Mountain and its value, the place-name cultural landscape of Taohua Island, the tourism cultural landscape of Taohua Island, and the cultural landscape of Zhoushan Theme Park. The latter uses the ecological footprint and water footprint methods to study the pressure of human cultural activities on the island on the ecological environment, and arranges two chapters, namely Zhoushan City's ecological footprint and sustainable development and Zhoushan City's water footprint and sustainable use of water resources.
