Worries Deep in History: a Closer Look at One of America
by Linda
About This Novel
The United States is not a country that is good at hiding its shame. When it casts a ray of sunshine, it casts a shadow. All its shadows are exposed to all, even a stranger. Therefore, even ordinary outsiders like us will see a lot of problems at a glance. But we immediately knew that we had to wake up from our complacency, because we soon discovered that this did not necessarily mean that we were smarter and more discerning than Americans. They seem to be very aware that there is such a shadow. They are just forced to admit a simple truth. If you pursue the sunshine, you cannot avoid the shadow behind you. We began to wonder, when Americans tolerate this shadow (this tolerance often makes them miserable), what is the unquenchable light in their hearts? What are they looking for, so much so that they pay a heavy price? For us, this is a real problem. In the process of learning about it, we have become increasingly interested in this strange country with a short history. Based on our own experience as a civilian, we found that the first step to understanding is simple communication. No matter how hard the shell seems to be, its people are all ordinary, and no matter how big it is, they are just these ordinary people.
