Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese history. She entered the palace at the age of fourteen and became the concubine of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. After the death of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, she was tonsured as a nun and stayed away from the court. In a twist of fate, she returned to the palace with her talents, became Gaozong's concubine again, and assisted Gaozong in handling government affairs. When Gaozong was seriously ill, she gradually took control of the government and took over the throne, replacing Gaozong's authority. It was not until 690 AD that Wu Zetian broke the gender restrictions, officially ascended the throne and proclaimed herself emperor, and changed the country's name to "Zhou", creating a precedent for women to rule. Her life is full of legends. With her extraordinary political intelligence and determination, she became one of the most outstanding female emperors in Chinese history.
