About This Novel
This book is divided into three parts. It is an academic summary of Professor Zhao Boxiong of Nankai University since he started teaching and research. It focuses on discussing some important propositions, classics and figures in the history of Confucianism and Confucianism. Among them, there are 16 chapters in the first part, discussing issues related to Spring and Autumn Studies, Zuo Zhuan, and Gongyang Studies. There are 12 chapters in the middle volume, which use handed down documents and archaeological materials to analyze some political issues since the pre-Qin Dynasty, and do detailed and practical historical research, involving Wang Ji and the relocation of capitals, concept research, and character research. The second part contains 13 chapters, which mainly focus on the research on specific issues in specific documents, as well as the author's thoughts on the turn of Confucian classics since the late Qing Dynasty and the relationship between contemporary Chinese studies, Confucianism and Confucian classics.
