About This Novel
When the plane took off from Beijing, it was delayed by more than half an hour. It was a suffocating day with yellow sand in the sky. We arrived in Paris more than ten hours later. The weather was quite nice. The temperatures in the east and west were similar, but the weather was so different. Li Ji, Executive Vice President of the Palace Museum, and Wang Qingzheng, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Museum, who were traveling with us, had come to France many times.
