It should be the most humble love story among the novels with the theme of secret love that I have read. Guniers likes to portray boys who are outstanding in appearance, but withdrawn and taciturn, or just extremely indifferent to girls. The male protagonist here is the extreme representative of this type. The better works (Best National Partner), (I Want to Live in Your Heart), and (The Boy Who Sings Love Songs) all have such male characters, but the male protagonist in this book has achieved the ultimate. And maybe this book is the author's early work, and the writing style seems to be inferior.
Well, I just read the first two chapters and the last two chapters were good. If there were no surprises, it wouldn't happen to me 😀
