About This Novel

Lin Haiyin is deeply attached to her second hometown Beijing. She calls the 25 years she spent in Beijing a golden age that can be compared with the glazed tiles of the Forbidden City. The alleys and courtyards in Beijing, the donkeys at the foot of the West Mountain, and the camels with bells around their necks... These images all inspired her creation. Photographer Mr. Shen Jiguang is willing to accompany the author to the south of the city and use his lens to collect the fragments of the ancient city.

Why is no one reading such a good book? Many scenes in the book can still be seen when I was a child. I really miss it.
