About This Novel
In the 370th year of the Dayin Dynasty, the imperial power fell away, feudal towns were separated, natural disasters (locust plagues, floods, epidemics) and refugee problems became serious. The central queen mother had no real power, and the clans competed for the heir apparent; the twelve local vassal kings each had different intentions (supporting soldiers to respect themselves, intending to serve the king, or plotting to become self-reliant); the noble families monopolized resources. Although the old system prohibited women from participating in politics, various forces broke the shackles to survive in troubled times, and women gradually became the core force in the military and political arena.
