On the surface, the "matchmaker" is a middleman who facilitates the marriage of the hero and heroine, but in fact, he secretly controls the rumors. In the end Don Julian became a tragedy. His death is the most powerful proof that "rumors can hurt more than the sword." No one committed the murder with a knife, but the suspicion and moral judgment of the entire society together constitute a deadly weapon.
