This series collects excellent Chinese translations of Chekhov's dramatic works and publishes them in four volumes. This volume contains the famous plays "The Seagull" and "Ivanov". The comedy "The Seagull" describes the love ideals and experiences of Nina, a wealthy rural girl. It was performed at the Moscow Art Theater in 1898 and achieved unprecedented success. The image of the flying seagull became the emblem of the Moscow Art Theater. "Ivanov" is Chekhov's first dramatic masterpiece.
