During the Republic of China, Tibetologist Yu Daoquan translated a total of 66 selected love poems of Tsangyang Gyatso, which were published in Kangdao Monthly in 1930 under the title "Love Songs of the Sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso". In 1939, Zeng Yan translated "The Love Song of the Sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso" in the form of seven-character quatrains, which was also published in "Kangdao Monthly".
