This set of books is the first complete work of Shakespeare in verse in the Chinese-speaking world. The original form of Shakespeare's drama is a verse drama, which is a verse drama with blank verse as its basic form. Translating poetry into verse, trying to make the translation closer to the original appearance of Shakespeare's drama in terms of tone and language rhythm, is the ultimate appeal of this version. This new set of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare" fully absorbs the latest results of international Shakespeare studies, and includes a total of thirty-nine Shakespeare plays (in addition to the traditional thirty-seven, it also includes two plays, "The Two Noblesse" and "Edward III"). The poetry part was only confirmed in the 1980s and 1990s.
