About This Novel
Wang Shizhen's "Yi Yuan Yan" is an important poetic work in the Ming Dynasty, which embodies the poetic aesthetics of the seven sons of the Ming Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty. The new "Annotation" is an update based on the author's old work published in the early 1990s. Compared with the old work, the new "Annotation" first adds annotations to the "Book Theory" and "Painting Theory" parts of the original book that were deleted in the old work, and also supplements the original notes on poetry theory. It is the most complete annotation in the academic world at present.
