Yuefu Poetry is another organic part of the outstanding cultural heritage of the Chinese nation after the "Book of Songs" and "Chu Ci". Its content has a wide range of themes, its language is simple and natural, and its emotions are natural and simple. It has a profound influence on the development of poetry in later generations. This edition is compiled and selected by Professor Zhou Xinglu of Peking University. It contains 100 classic Yuefu songs in 12 volumes and biographies of 57 poets and painters. The illustrations use the works of many painters in Chinese history, represented by Qian Xuan and Yun Shouping.
