The first time I came into contact with Turgenev was his "Hunter's Notes". I have read it two or three times. The characterizations and descriptions of natural scenery cannot be better. This time I read the rest of the short stories and novels in the collection. Turgenev runs the main thread of love through almost all of these novels. When I read the last few chapters, especially the last few chapters, I couldn't help but feel a little disgusted with the theme of love. And it feels as if these characters are fictional, not carved statues, but even a little frivolous. If we are talking about love that comes from the most instinctive and deepest desires of animals, we can say that it is great, natural and unstoppable. If you escape from this deepest place, is it still okay? Love is definitely not eternal, it is a myth made up in these times, but it can indeed touch people's hearts and dig into the deepest part of everyone's heart. After reading this book, I seem to understand what truth, goodness and beauty really mean. "Journey to the West" is magical, but the characters and stories in it can withstand centuries of scouring. Without truth (not talking about the works of Master Turgenev), no matter how good or beautiful the article is, it will always be eliminated.
