About This Novel

White, the "rich and leisure gentleman" and naturalist in England in the 18th century, described the natural scenery of his hometown in letters. With his leisurely mood and rigorous scientific attitude, he observed and recorded the birds, animals, fish and insects of Selborne. White's simple and straightforward prose depicts Selborne like a picture scroll, and at the same time shows the life of the British squire in the 18th century, full of pastoral interest. Selborne has become a pilgrimage site for nature lovers.

The picture in my mind is a thrilling battlefield

I don't know why, all the natural scenes described in the book, villages, fields, hills, slopes... I can think of the scenes in the exciting battlefield of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Am I too addicted 😂
