About This Novel

"Lin Shi Yixing" is an important collection of Sanqu in the Ming Dynasty, with a total of 10 volumes and 1,000 recorded songs. It is rich in content and bright in language. The author Xue Lundao, also known as Tan De (first known as Tan De) and named Lianxi layman, was a native of Dingxing (now Yixian County, Hebei Province), Zhili. It is difficult to confirm his life. According to the prefaces and postscripts attached to the Wanli version of "Lin Shi Yixing", "In the autumn of Wanli Gengyin (1590 AD), it was written by Hu Ruqin, a layman of Longchuan in Dingxing" and "In the summer of Wanli Wuzi (1588 AD), it was written by Wu Jing of Xin'an "On the Wanli Wuzi Mengxia Shanghuanri, Xue Lundao's autobiography" and "Wanli Gengyin Mid-Autumn Festival, Yongxing Yu Zhong met in the ancient Tan Qingping Pavilion" and other descriptions indicate that the collection was carved no later than 1590, when Xue Lundao was still alive.
