There are many things that I have never been exposed to. Sometimes I will only be shocked when I see them, but I cannot empathize with them.
I read a few chapters for free and bought it directly. I heard that the movie is a classic, but I haven't read it yet, so I read the book first.
What a classic
Great book! Worth a look
It takes time to understand it.
Already finished reading
Strong inside
The injury and pain are unimaginable. I feel that they are a product of the times. In the past, there were maids and slaves, but in modern times, there are cattle and horses. I hope the future will be bright
Passing by. . .
Read this book.
Thoughts
I have watched movies before... Through reading books, I slowly recalled some particularly memorable moments. For example: the male protagonist was dumped against a tree, and there were salt scars on his body, which should be traces of dried sweat. I also think of the beautiful black female slave who was forced by her master and so on. It seems that in the end the hero's wife remarried... Ugh. The power of culture is really terrifying. It can create a black system for profit... However, the male protagonist has the most authentic value of being a human being, which allows me to live with peace of mind instead of becoming a slave of culture.
