About This Novel
The Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, a period of turmoil between the prosperous Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty, lasted only a few decades, and has always been insignificant in the vast history of China. For those ancestors who were unfortunate enough to be born during this period, this was undoubtedly the cruelest arrangement of the God of Fate. For a story that does not involve a smooth journey through time and space or a twists and turns in cultivating immortality, I naturally lack the talent and interest for rigorous research and chronicling. I don't think I have much compassion for the world and the bodhisattva heart of worrying about the ancients. I just try my best to use the superficial knowledge I can master and use this period of history as a platform to tell a story that I think is very interesting.
