About This Novel
Xuewo is an ancient historical and cultural city located on the coast of the East China Sea. Legend has it that it is the residence of the Snow God. In the late Ming Dynasty, Zhang Xianzu, a native of Xuewo, and Lizhu, a descendant of the Manchu aristocracy, got married and had children. They joined the army to defend the country and resist Japanese pirates. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, society was in turmoil. Zhang Fucheng, the uncle of Zhang Baoqi, a descendant of Xuewo, returned to his hometown to launch industry to save the country, and knowledgeable people in Xuewo responded one after another. Bao Qi and his son abandoned their family and business and traveled across the country to work with revolutionaries to overthrow the Qing emperor and revitalize China. Over the long years, the people of Xuewo have always had patriotic enthusiasm.
