About This Novel
"Guanglufang No. 3" Is similar to the author's previous novel "Chronicles of 1979", with a sense of suspense. The difference is that other authors pay more attention to revealing the answer after a long or short game: who is the murderer, who is the perpetrator, what are the reasons, and what are the means. No. 3 Guanglufang written by Chen Yonghe is an open place. There is no such "murderer" in "No. 3 Guanglufang", and there is not even a mystery. In other words, the mystery is folded and unfolded in the layers of the narrative itself. The story of this novel can be roughly summarized as: death, and what it creates. The male protagonist Shen Yiyi made three wills, which were notarized and handed over to lawyer Zhong Zhengming for execution. What was unexpected was the second will: requesting his wife Chen Dongmei and his ex-wife Lin Fen to live in the No. 3 Guanglufang house, and inviting Ms. Gong Xinlu and Ms. Lou Kaikai to live together. The condition for reading the third will is that the four of them live together in the house for one year. The four women, ex-wife, widow, admirer and first love, face the same question: Can they live in Guanglufang? "In fact, everyone's body has an invisible tomb, where the memories we have removed are buried." The author uses Guanglufang to summon his own characters and stories.
