About This Novel

James Joyce (1882-1941), Irish writer and poet. Born in Dublin on February 2, 1882 and died in Zurich, Switzerland on January 13, 1941. He is the originator of stream-of-consciousness literature, and his novel "Ulysses" has become a representative work of stream-of-consciousness literature and one of the greatest novels of the twentieth century. He lived a wandering life, traveling to Trieste, Rome, Paris and other places, mostly making a living by teaching English and writing articles for newspapers and magazines. He also suffered from eye diseases and was almost completely blind in his later years. But he remained committed to literature and wrote diligently, eventually becoming a great master. "Dublins" is James Joyce's prestigious short story collection, which can be regarded as the most famous short story collection in the entire West in the 20th century.
