This work uses a joking, relaxed and even carnival style of writing to describe the story of the protagonist (Zheng Tong) growing up in the ancient city, those self-righteous and embarrassing youth years, as well as the love and friendship that appeared in his life, paying tribute to his hometown and the rapidly changing era. They are bad boys in a good world and rebels in the eyes of adults, squandering their youth and years with abandon. They spent a period of embarrassing but happy youth years, uncompromising but insisting on not losing their innocent nature. Documentary and fictional, tradition and rebellion, carnival and depression are intertwined, trying to recreate an era of innocence that is gradually disappearing.
