About This Novel

"The Lobo of the Wuchou River" is a series of novels written by Mr. Huang Yongyu. "Day Reading" is the third part of the series of novels "The Lottery of Wuchou River" written by Mr. Huang Yongyu. It describes the protagonist Zhang Xuzi who experienced eight years of arduous life on the move and finally ushered in the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. In order to find a way out, he bid farewell to his newlywed wife and ventured into Shanghai alone. Amidst the gunfire of the victory of the Liberation War, a group of progressive artists pursuing revolution were energized with hope, passion and took action. The novel follows Xuzi's footsteps, from Shanghai to Taipei to Hong Kong. Xuzi and his artist friends live a difficult life while looking forward to welcoming the arrival of a new world. The novel shows the lively appearance of a group of woodcutters, poets and writers in the late 1940s, as well as the special customs and social life forms of various places.
