About This Novel

The novel is an artistic transformation based on the villages I am familiar with, the characters I am familiar with, and the people and things I have personally experienced. The novel unfolds the mental state of a group of farmers who live in a place where customs are still very conservative. Before the society was opened up, they were all listless, like gamblers coming off the casino. They felt that life was meaningless. Their lives had always been lifeless and hopeless. Later, they ushered in a great and majestic era, which completely changed the fate of Chinese farmers. After more than 40 years of reform and opening up, China's more than one billion people have faced a complete change in destiny. Especially farmers, as if they have entered the country of Tianzhu. In a country where farmers are the majority, the changes of farmers will bring about unprecedented changes in history. The large-scale migration of farmers to cities has put a certain load on the city's geographical environment, living space, traffic affordability, and children's school education, but this fact cannot be changed. Some people say that in this era, it is the cities that have changed the farmers, or the farmers that have changed the cities. I think the two are complementary to each other.
