One Sentence is Worth Ten Thousand Sentences (collector's Edition)
by Liu Zhenyun
About This Novel
This book is the result of four years of hard work by the famous writer Liu Zhenyun. Hailed by the top five critics in Beijing as "China's One Hundred Years of Solitude (a work by Nobel Prize-winning writer Marquez)", it is Liu Zhenyun's most mature and majestic work to date. This novel has washed away all the lead and returned to its original nature. The writing style is always close to the suffering land and the people at the bottom who are as humble as grass. This is a rare masterpiece in the contemporary literary world that dares to face the truth. Famous critic Zhang Yiwu said that the book is Liu Zhenyun's "most ambitious and imaginative work, and the result of his most tenacious efforts to transcend himself." We believe that this book is the only best-selling and long-selling work among Liu Zhenyun's works that can win awards and remain in literary history.

Living life is not about living in the past, but living in the future
The author narrates a series of stories about many characters, and one thing leads to another starting from "telling". What impressed me the most was Confucius' interpretation of "It is a joy to have friends come from afar." If you have said everything you want to say to the friends around you, and then a friend from afar comes, wouldn't it be a kind of sadness to have nothing to say to him? How can a saint be happy? There is also the question of Pastor Lao Zhan's "Who is it, where are they from, and where are they going?" That runs through the first half.
The bumpy experiences of ordinary people at the bottom, the noise of a lifetime of searching, are not as good as the sober words in loneliness.
Life is ever-changing
There are many things in life that cannot be explained in one or two sentences or one example. It is possible to summarize this matter by combining many life experiences and opinions. Want to understand the true mystery. Just keep exploring.
This life can be explained clearly in ten thousand sentences, but it seems that it is all because of my indecision that simple things become complicated and become a mess.
A microcosm of the life of the lower class people
Lao Pei's wife regarded the big mistake he had made as an amnesty order and mentioned it over and over again. Lao Pei not only suffered from overwhelming pain in his heart, but also had to endure it for the rest of his life. Life is about living in the future. There will be no light in the future. It's too miserable.
The ending felt like it ended abruptly, as if there was a sequel, which made it a bit uncomfortable.
Living life means living the future, not the past.
Life is a ruthless knife, be yourself, live your life well,
Various stories about hundreds of Chinese surnames
Probably only in China, where there are so many surnames, can so many stories be written. Teacher Liu's life experience is too rich, and the character relationships and storylines are connected together like a spider web without appearing messy. After reading it and thinking about it carefully, I feel like I have become a melon-eater. It's a hearty read. There are many characters, all of them distinct. But I feel that except for the heart-wrenching plots of Wu Moxi catching an adulterer, Qiao Ling being abducted, and Niu Aiguo Hotel spending the night, the others didn't cause much ripples. It would be nice if there were a few bigger melons. Isn't this an enjoyable ending? I really want to know what Moses Wu wants to say to Qiaoling in the end? , What does Zhang Chuhong want to say to Niu Aiguo? Hey, there are always regrets in life. Everyone will have something they can't get, right? Teacher Liu Zhenyun? Finally, one sentence is worth ten thousand, it is better to live well in the present, look forward and never look back.
Chinese version of One Hundred Years of Solitude
"One Sentence is Worth Ten Thousand Sentences" is a masterpiece worth reading again and again. It not only allowed me to experience the attraction and drama of the story during the reading process, but also triggered my thoughts and perceptions about life on a deep level. The philosophy and wisdom of life conveyed in this work deeply inspired me and made me cherish every moment in my life even more.
The rhythm of the novel
The novel has a strong sense of rhythm. At first, you may feel that the characters in the book are all lunatics and do not understand what is going on. As you read, you will find that as the rhythm of the novel becomes faster and slower, the soul of each character in the novel and the loneliness deep in their souls are revealed.
