About This Novel
He traveled throughout Europe, especially Italy, and lived in Venice, Italy, for seven years. There he often visited friends and socialized very happily with his close friend Shelley. In Byron's later career, he participated in the Greek War of Independence and fought against the Ottoman Empire. He was revered by the Greeks as a national hero. In 1824, he died of an infectious disease at the age of 36. In fact, the literary world has been arguing endlessly about the image represented by the character Don Juan.
